Florida returns 12 players, including All-America first team infielder and the reigning SEC Player of the Year Kelsey Stewart, All-America third team pitcher  Aleshia Ocasio and All-Region first team outfielder Kirsti Merritt. In addition, Florida’s roster boasts seven freshmen including pitcher Kelly Barnhill. Barnhill is regarded as the number one recruit in the country and possibly the best recruit to come to Gainesville. Barnhill threw 22 no-hitters during her high school career, including one in the Georgia Class 6A state title game and another when she struck out all 21 batters she faced. She’s already been selected for the 2016 U.S. National Team, making her the second-youngest player ever chosen.
