Eric Lopez spoke to former Michigan All-American and TV Color Commentator Jennie Ritter about the upcoming Women’s College World Series. Among the topics Ritter discussed included her thoughts on the Georgia upset of Florida which Ritter got to call along side with Trey Bender on ESPN. Ritter works as TV color commentator for the Big 10 Network and ESPN.

Ritter won a National Championship with Michigan in 2005 and was named one of the ten greatest Michigan Athletes of all-time by Sports Illustrated.

Ritter would graduate as the all-time Michigan Wolverines record holder in strikeouts, shutouts, WHIP, innings pitched and strikeout ratio. As well she also put up some of the best wins and ERA numbers all-time for the Wolverines. Ritter currently still holds the records for strikeout ratio and shutouts. She is also the strikeout ratio leader for the Big Ten Conference at 10.1 and ranks top-10 in almost every other pitching category. Ritter is also a top-20 strikeout ratio pitcher all-time for a career in the NCAA Division I

2007: Gold medalist at Pan American Games and World Cup
2005: Member of USA Schutt Elite Team at Canada Cup and Champions Cup
– Posted a 1.70 ERA with a 3-0 record and 20 strikeouts
– Named USA Softball Player of the Year for her performances at Canada Cup
