 Emilee Koerner Interview

Koerner in her 2nd season in the NPF and 1st season with the ScrapYard Dawgs after spending the 2015 season with the USSSA Pride. Koerner was selected 17th overall in the 2015 NPF Draft by the Pride out of Notre Dame.

After being drafted in the fourth round (17th overall) of the 2015 NPF College Draft and spending that season with the USSSA Pride as a professional rookie, Koerner was one of the first players to officially join the Scrap Yard Dawgs during the league’s expansion draft held in November of 2015. Koerner made history hitting the first home run in Scrap Yard Dawgs history. The two-run shot also scored the franchise’s first runs during its inaugural game on June 2 against the Chicago Bandits in Rosemont, Illinois.

At Notre Dame, Koerner was the first ever 3 time All-American at Notre Dame. Koerner was a top 10 College Softball player of the Year finalist in 2013. Among the achivements Koerner accomplished at Notre Dame.
